Prepare yourself for a party this Summer, as the legendary That’ll Be The Day, now established as the ‘Number One Award Winning’ entertainment show will be rocking into TORQUAY with a Brand New Summer 2008 Show.

Nostalgia, music and comedy top the bill this Summer when THAT'LL BE THE DAY play the PRINCESS THEATRE in TORQUAY for 4 nights only on 31ST JULY, 13TH & 24TH AUGUST & 7TH SEPTEMBER at 7.30PM.

THAT'LL BE THE DAY is about nostalgia, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever.

This brand new production features over a 100 classic gold hits of 50’s, 60’s,70’s & 80’s rock ‘n’ roll hits, mixed with its great comedy that never fails to surprise and entertain its audiences around the country again and again.

The show's popularity has grown through word of mouth, and attracts audiences both young and old, who love coming to see the show, either because of the memories it evokes or the simple fact that it makes them feel good.

THAT'LL BE THE DAY was established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980's and began playing provincial theatres in the early 1990's.

Despite its unique position performing as many as 230 shows a year to capacity audiences across the UK, Trevor Payne who wrote and created the show back in 1987 and still directs, produces and stars in the production today rewrites the show every year – Over six months is taken in planning and preparation, culminating in just four weeks of intensive rehearsals before the show once again takes to the road with its new offering every summer.

That’ll Be The Day has also been involved with helping various Charities raise funds, most notably their recent relationship with BT ChildLine’s ‘Am I Listening?’ campaign to raise funds for ChildLine, the UK’s free 24-hour telephone helpline for children and young people in danger and distress.

We were delighted to have raised £150,000 in less than 4 years from bucket collections, collected by BT volunteers at the end of our shows.

Following Trevor Payne’s successful appearance in Peter Kay’s Max and Paddy TV series, he was asked and appeared in Peter Kay’s now famous Comic Relief video for Tony Christie’s ‘Road to Amarillo’.

Trevor says the whole shoot was huge fun.

"When we finished everyone had a feeling it would be a great success but of course none of us had any idea just how big it was going to be." – ‘Road to Amarillo’ went on to number one in the UK charts.

Each new production of THAT'LL BE THE DAY is meticulously planned and researched so that regular fans will see the changes and new fans will be enthralled and entertained.
